Featured Location - Peru and Machu Picchu

Recently I booked a 5-day vacation for two clients in Peru. They were meeting up to celebrate a milestone birthday. The two of them flew into Lima, Peru where they were met by their private transfer to the hotel in Miraflores. The next morning they headed to the Sacred Valley to begin their experiences and travel to Machu Picchu. They visited the Pisac Ruins, Pisac Market, and the Ollantaytambo village while staying in the town of Urubamba. As a reminder, the altitude changes between Lima and Cusco are from 500 feet to almost 11,000 feet, altitude sickness can occur and this is why staying a night to acclimate is recommended. The following day, my clients enjoyed the Vista Train transfer and a personal guided tour of Machu Picchu (the photo to the right is a before/after the discovery of Machu Picchu). They remained overnight in the Machu Picchu area to enjoy the sites the following day at their leisure. They then returned to Cusco for their return to Lima. They had late flights the last day and we were able to get them on a guided tour of some local areas within Lima to complete their shopping and vacation.
